About MLCMS

The Mendocino-Lake County Medical Society (MLCMS) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization of physicians from all specialties supporting local physicians and their efforts to enhance the health of the community. Founded in 1938, MLCMS is affiliated with the California Medical Association (CMA).

MLCMS is governed by a board of directors composed of physicians who practice in Mendocino County and/or Lake County. We envision MLCMS as an organization welcoming all physicians, respecting diverse interests and acting as a unifying force in the community by working to:

Promote and develop the science and art of medicine and the care and well-being of patients.
Conserve and protect the health of the public.
Promote the betterment of the medical profession.
Cooperate with groups of like purposes.
Unite with similar organizations in the formation and activities of CMA.

When physicians join MLCMS and CMA, they hire a powerful professional staff to protect their practices from legal, legislative and regulatory intrusions. MLCMS/CMA membership lets physicians focus on what's really important: their patients.
